Acceptance Testing
Acceptance testing is a crucial part of any software implementation. It serves a number of purposes.
- Validating the product functionality against the requirements of a specification
- Validating the configuration of the product
- Provides an opportunity for any major issues to be resolvd ahead of any Go Live deadline
- Training of key staff to ensure any 'teething problems' following Go Live can be sorted out as quickly as possible
- Provides the opportunity for key staff to be involved in the system roll-out and training of colleagues thereby consolidating their knowledge of the system and reducing training costs
- Acceptance testing reports revised constantly throughout the process provide up to date management information on the status of the project and highlights any possible issues as early as possible with a traffic light colour-coded system
